Utilizing the proven Remington gas-operated autoloading action that has long set the standard for functional reliability and durability, this shotgun is all business. It's low recoil means excellent control in high rate-of-fire situations with either heavy buckshot or rifled slug loads. Additionally, the versatility of this shotgun allows it to handle lighter loads without a hitch for training and familiarization.

The 11-87 Police shotgun's receiver, barrel, magazine, and bracket feature a Parkerized finish to minimize reflection, and provide moisture and abrasion resistance. For added durability, high-strength polypropylene stocks and fore-ends are utilized. They are impervious to moisture and stand up to even the harshest environment. A blaze orange magazine follower permits quick, safe, and sure inspection of the chamber and magazine. Sling swivel studs are standard on all 11-87s.

Please note that in order to assure uniform pattern control and pellet accountability, all law enforcement shotguns and extra barrels are produced with improved cylinder chokes unless specifically ordered.
